Contractors bond with Stix® 2199 multi-use adhesive
XL Brands, an industry leader in adhesives and installation systems for building construction, introduces Stix® 2199, a transitional, multi-use adhesive to the North American marketplace.
Stix® 2199 is a solvent-free adhesive with aggressive tack, engineered for installation of vinyl and non-vinyl-backed modular carpet tile, luxury vinyl tile (LVT), luxury vinyl plank (LVP), sheet flooring, VCT and fiberglass reinforced vinyl sheet. One major benefit offered by Stix® 2199 is that it contains MicroSept® Advanced Antimicrobial System, which protects the adhesive from bacterial and fungal growth. This adhesive also features an extended 6 hour working time and high moisture resistance up to 99% RH and 12.0 pH.
“This is such a contractor-friendly and high-performance product,” stated Dennis Layne, National Sales Manager of XL Brands®. “In particular, when it’s used with carpet tile. Stix® 2199 is formulated so each tile can be released and then re-bonded… without substantial loss of tack. And, when it’s used with vinyl tile, vinyl plank or vinyl sheet flooring, the ultra-strong bonding properties of Stix® 2199 are simply amazing!”
Stix® 2199 is solvent-free, highly moisture-resistant and emitting very low VOC’s and has minimal (if any) odor.
